About

Ana Genovés Monograph
A monograph on the work of Ana Genovés was published by FRANTICA Publications in June 2009.

With an emphasis on work of the last few years, the book includes sketches, paintings, objects, photographs and found images. This broad exploration of imagery provides an insight into the flow of ideas within the creative process; how ideas evolve and 'become', how they are influenced by and take from unexpected sources, how ideas feed off one another and are constantly and unexpectedly branching out. It presents a practice as a flexible investigation; a continuous exploration with no definite end.

The book is comprised of 144 pages with 90 colour reproductions. Two new texts by Martin Coomer and Cadine Navarro have been commissioned and an extensive 'in conversation' between Genovés and Kerry Stewart.

Genovés has also collaborated with the artist Audrey Reynolds on an insert for the book, based on a joint project from 2005. The insert includes a painting that Reynolds has made especially for this publication.

The book is priced at £11.99 GBP (plus £2.10 p&p) and can be purchased here via PayPal.
